What is The Affiliate Lab About?
Affiliate Lab is a training course that was developed by Matt Diggity and came onto the scene in 2017.
It’s an affiliate marketing course that teaches you how to build a passive online business based around a niche.
Which is basically a segment of a bigger market, like drones would belong to electronics. I think you get the picture.
The course teaches you how to select a profitable niche which is the basis of your business and what your website is going to be about.
Don’t worry, the mention of a website usually gets people to run a mile but take it from me there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Matt teaches you how to get your website in profit to a certain level then he shows you how you can flip it for a massive profit.
All good stuff and more to come!
Here’s a short Youtube video where he talks about what affiliate marketing is and to generate revenue.
So Who is Matt Diggity The Affiliate Lab SEO Guro?
Matt Diggity is the mastermind behind the Affiliate Lab and is well regarded in the internet marketing world.
As the person to go to, for anything related to SEO or search engine optimization.
But it didn’t start out that way as he studied and passed his master’s degree in electrical engineering.
This degree ultimately helped him to secure a role in an IT startup company in Silicon Valley creating computer microchips.
He worked hard but realized very early on that working a 60-hour week just was not for him so he looked for an alternative career.
This was after he had a nervous breakdown.
It didn’t take him very long to realize that there was a market for building niche websites and all he had to do was master SEO.
However, some of his early attempts at making money through these niche sites didn’t work out, but that didn’t deter him from continuing.
Some turned a profit and some didn’t and at the time he only had aspirations for making possibly $1k/month.
But when he realised that some sites out there were making in excess of 5 figures he was hooked.
Unexpectedly, he quickly realized that he wasn’t able to maintain the niche websites that he had already created so he decided to try and sell them.
This is when he hit upon a way to not only just sell the sites for a few thousand but to multiply their value by up to 40 times.
An example would be a site that brings in $10k/month he realized could be worth a staggering $350k.
That’s when he realized, that not only had he latched onto developing websites that could generate thousands a month.
But he could also make a fortune selling them and hence the reason why Affiliate Lab was born. A sort of double-edged sword!
But don’t get excited just yet because to get to the flipping stage you have to ensure your website is in a reasonable profit.
You see to develop a website where it manages to generate an income of $10k/month is no easy task.
What we are saying is don’t expect to be turning a massive profit in a few months.
It takes time for Google to like your site and even then with all the Google algorithm changes is getting harder each day.
However, because you will be using SEO then you don’t have to worry about paying for traffic which is a bonus.
If you are interested, you can find out more about Matt on his personal website.
Furthermore, you could head over to his YouTube channel where he has over 60k subscribers and over 160 videos.
How Does Affiliate Lab Work?
In essence, they teach you all about affiliate marketing and what it takes to start an online business through to making a profit.
This is where you promote other people’s products and services and for every sale you make, you make a commission.
To show you what I mean, I have broken the steps down to give you more of insight…
-
- Select a profitable niche and one that you are preferably passionate about.
-
- Build a website which is very easy and can be done within a few minutes.
-
- Keyword research to find out what people are looking for in the search engines that relate to your niche.
-
- Create content based on what people are looking for.
-
- Find affiliate programs to promote products and services and add those links to your content.
-
- Once the website is generating between $5k and $10k a month which may take upwards of 12 months then flip it for a decent profit.
Now, I have my reservations about turning of profit with a website for as much as Matt states because I know people who have done just this.
Maybe Matt has or knows a place where you can achieve profits like he says you can.
Flipping a website that generates $10k a month for $350k seems a little too far-fetched to me.
What do You Get With The Affiliate Lab Training Course?
There are 5 main modules that come with the Affiliate Lab which we have listed below with a brief description of what’s involved.Of course like always, there is an introduction by Matt who welcomes you and gives you an outline of what to expect from the training course.
Moreover, he briefly touches on the importance of SEO when it comes to finding the right type of traffic for your affiliate links
There are a further 9 bonuses that come with this course which we have tagged onto the end of the main course modules.
Module #1 – Niche Selection
The most important module and how to find a niche that is profitable but also where competition is not too great.
The term should actually be sub-niche or micro-niche and the best way to describe what I mean would be by looking at the Amazon website.
If you first go onto the Amazon website and click “All” in the top left and then go down to the departments and select “See All”.
You will see that the first level is what we call the “Broad Term” and when you click on that term it will open up sub-niches or micro-niches.
That’s it, but choosing the right niche causes all sorts of problems for people, but at least Matt will be able to put you right on that one.
Additionally, they have a tool at Affiliate Lab that will help you which they are calling the niche grading tool.
Module #2 – On-Site SEO
In this module, Matt goes into great detail about the importance of on-site SEO.
There are various plugins you can install to help you here, such as All In One SEO which is a great tool for helping in this particular area.
Other areas of concern are how to structure your site, keyword research, and writing high-quality converting content plus much more…
Module #3 – Off-Site SEO
In this module learn all there is to know about off-site SEO
What that entails is anything outside your actual website to comply with the rules of the search engines.
These are normally described as…
Grey hat
These are labels and should be self-explanatory… White is good, Grey is ok to a certain degree and a combination of white and black, whilst Black you are treading on thin ice and could get you penalised.
The Affiliate Lab uses a combination of White and Grey and whilst it is ok to use both you have to be careful because Google is forever changing its algorithm.
Don’t worry Matt will explain everything and hopefully set you on the right path.
Module #5 – Conversion Rate Optimization or CRO
Matt shows you in this module how to optimize your content, and how to deal with your website design.
How to control your CTA (call to action) and get the most out of each visitor.
Module #6 – The Kitchen Sink
What Matt is getting at here is housekeeping, and what you need to do to ensure that your website is maintained and kept up to date.
Lifetime Updates Which Are Part Of Your Initial Fee
Google is forever changing the goal posts when it comes to its algorithm and forever making changes.
Here Matt and his team will keep you informed of what these changes are and how they could affect you.
That’s why it is the better option to play it safe with white hat SEO.
What you also get is consistently added and updated training material which is what we are seeing looking at student feedback.
Who is The Affiliate Lab For?
If you are serious about building an online
presence that will stand you and your family in good stead. Then affiliate marketing is a business model that we would recommend 100%.
I mean, what better way than to create a business or businesses around something you love and have a passion for.
Even if you don’t feel you are qualified to be seen as an authority on a particular niche, not to worry because we all start off like that.
Who this training course is not for are people looking for easy street and not prepared to work and expecting everything to be put on a plate for them.
This is a business that will take as long as 12 months and possibly longer to see results that you are going to be happy with.
But you should be in this business for the long haul and just think 2-3 years down the road you will have an extremely prosperous business.
This business takes the right mindset, hard work, consistency, persistence and above all plenty of patience.
If that is you then the Affiliate Lab could be the course for you.
The Affiliate Lab Price And Discounts
At the time we wrote the Affiliate Lab review, it will cost you a one-off payment of $997.
However, you can take advantage of the payment plan which will cost you two equal payments of $597.
Are There Any Affiliate Lab Discounts?
The reason why there are so many biassed Affiliate Lab reviews is that these affiliates are trying to sell you the product and in the process make themselves a commission.
Now we don’t have an issue with that because you will save yourself $200 on the actual course fee which brings the total down to $797.
The problem we have here is that those reviews are all going to be biased and therefore you really aren’t going to get a true account of Affiliate Lab.
Are There Any Hidden Costs?
As always with these training courses, something that isn’t discussed on the sales page is hidden costs which are inevitable.
Matt does touch base and mentions that you can get away with just paying for hosting for the year at around $20.
But, if truth be known he isn’t really been honest there!
Cost’s aren’t too over the top here because the traffic method used is SEO but you will need to pay for some extras like…
Hosting – $15/year
Keyword Research Tool – $30 – $75/month
Autoresponder – For email marketing…Aweber offers a membership where you don’t pay for the first 500 subscribers and includes a landing page creator.
Is There A Refund Policy In Place?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a refund policy and that isn’t a bad thing really because that will mean that only people who are serious will join.
Here are a few similar courses that you might like to check out but do not discard Udemy…

Is The Affiliate Lab a Scam?
Affiliate Lab is definitely not a scam as there
was nothing that stood out to convince us of this.Matt conducts himself in a manner that comes across as believable but we already know it from the number of clients who can corroborate this
The reason why most of these affiliate marketing courses do not hit the mark is due to the misunderstanding of SEO.
Without a doubt, if you are thinking of getting involved with affiliate marketing, SEO is the way forward and you won’t go far wrong here.
It will potentially save you thousands in paid marketing costs!
There is plenty of student feedback but you have to be careful and take them at face value.
What Others Say About The Affiliate Lab
There was more than a fair share of positive feedback from past and current students that we came across and the ones below are just a few we selected.
The Affiliate Lab Review – PROs
- Matt Diggity certainly knows his stuff as an SEO expert.
- Affiliate marketing is probably the best way of making money online and certainly the best way for creating multiple passive income streams.
- The course is thorough and comes with updates and add-ons that are added at various times, even Google algorithm updates.
- There are useful bonuses that come with the training.
- Most student reviews rate this course highly.
- The actual course fee is a one-off payment and that is for life or until the course is brought down but we can’t see that happening.
- No upsells which is a pleasant surprise and no BS within the sales page.
The Affiliate Lab Review – CONs
- Might be a little too expensive for some especially as there are no guarantees that you will ever succeed.
- No refund policy but as we have just mentioned that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
- Hidden costs aren’t spoken about and once you make the commitment to join it’s at this point that you find out, which is a little disappointing.
- Far too many biased reviews from affiliate marketers promoting Affiliate Lab themselves.
- Matt comes across that affiliate marketing is easy and you should be making money quickly which isn’t the case.
My Affiliate Lab Review – Final Thoughts!
We are always a little sceptical when we first start researching a training course or system like the Affiliate Lab.
Simply because of the number of reviews we have completed in the last couple of years where we had big hopes but very quickly diminished.
So we were quite suitably surprised to see Matt Diggity’s Affiliate Lab coming out with flying colours.
Ok, there were a few issues but you are going to find them no matter how good a course or system is.
There were one or two things that Matt mentioned and one of those was that SEO is difficult but I would totally disagree.
But, I would take SEO any day of the week with affiliate marketing and you will save a ton of money in the long run.
Some might think it is expensive but you get what you pay for and the student feedback we have come across confirms this.
What sort of sidetracks you is the amount of Affiliate Lab reviews that are all over the internet all biased by affiliates trying to make a sale.
Unfortunately, this is what happens when a course becomes popular.
Would we recommend this course and we have to say we aren’t totally convinced seeing as we know exactly how long it can take.
Is the Affiliate Lab worth the money?
We have to say that we believe it is but at the end of the day the final decision has to come from you.
All we can do is provide you with the cold hard facts, but if you want to know of an alternative affiliate marketing training course then please continue to read.

The Affiliate Lab Review – FAQs
- How Much Does The Affiliate Lab Cost?
The Affiliate Lab currently as of this review will cost you $997 and that is a one-off payment.
Alternatively, you can pay in 2 equal instalments of $597 which will take the final total to $1,194, that’s an additional $197
Having said that though you can find affiliate marketers promoting the Affiliate Lab for a discount of $200.
- Does The Affiliate Lab Come With Any Upsells?
Everything you see in the affiliate lab training course comes at the one price that we have highlighted above.
When you find courses and systems where there aren’t any upsells then that is a good sign that the course might be legit.
- Does The Affiliate Lab training Course Come With A Refund Policy?
Unfortunately, there is no refund policy in place which is a good thing because the ones who do intend to join will be the ones who are serious.
There is a private Facebook group where you can get help any time you want.
- How Many Hours Will I Need To Dedicate To This Course?
That is entirely up to you, but if you are serious about learning this type of business then no amount of hours would concern you.
Remember this is a business so the more you put into it the more you will get out of it.
However, if you have a full-time job to hold down and a family to support then there is help that the course curators can suggest.
- Do You Cover Niche Selection?
Selecting the right niche is the all-important start of the whole process get this wrong and you will fail miserably.
Some niches might look great but they could be either too competitive or lack money-making potential.
Niche selection is one of the first modules in the course.
- What If I Don’t Want To Get Involved In Flipping Websites Part?
Part of the course is about flipping a website that you have developed to a certain revenue point and is another passive income stream.
Nobody says that you have to flip that site and this is a very good point.
You could get the niche website up and running pretty quickly and turn a decent revenue, leave it and move on to the next niche website.
Just keep building and adding content and before you know it you could have 3,4,5 websites each generating $5,000/month.
That’s some serious coin and at a later date (if you want) then you could flip them.
But before you can flip a site it has to be generating a certain amount of money.
- What Kind Of Skillset After The Training Course Would I have?
You will know what it takes to rank competitive niche websites and monetize them to their true potential.
Furthermore, you will have resources to fall back on if you need to readdress anything that you may have forgotten.
- Are There Any Additionals Costs That I Should Know About?
This all depends on your budget and whether you want to do most of the work yourself.
This way of doing affiliate marketing is probably the most cost-effective way and could cost you as little as $12 for website hosting.
Realistically when you are first starting out that is what you will do but the more money your website brings in.
That means that you can afford to take on other people to do the various tasks.
This leaves you available to do other things and that should be your long-term goal.
- What If I Am Already Experienced In SEO?
No amount of knowledge is too much and learning from someone else who knows his stuff will only add to your experience.
Having said that there are a number of people with those skills who have joined the course.
